Komori America celebrated its 30th Anniversary
Opening its office in the Chicago suburb of Rolling Meadows, Illinois in September 1982 and officially starting business on January 1, 1983, Komori America Corporation was Komori Corporation’s first overseas subsidiary. This year being the 30th anniversary of the opening, a commemoration event was held.
More than 175 special guests took part in the event held in Komori America’s GraphiCenter and an outdoor tent on Saturday, October 6, the eve of Graph Expo 2012.
“It was a great afternoon, and we were very happy to greet the many customers who have made our business so successful in North America,” said Kosh Miyao, President and COO of Komori America Corporation.
The afternoon included demonstrations of Komori’s eight-color Lithrone G40 perfector press, a six-color Lithrone GX40 press and the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000.
Adding to the excitement of the af ternoon were presentations on Landa Nanographic Technology by Benny Landa, and the US introduction of the Impremia IS29, Komori’s joint venture with Konica Minolta.
“This event was a great kickoff for what we expect to be a great Graph Expo,” said Jacki Hudmon, Senior Vice President of Sales for Komori America. “We invite everyone to visit us at booth 1255 and learn about Komori’s revolution to improve pressroom efficiency.”
The event was quite full, starting with the greeting by President Miyao and following with the demonstrations in the showroom, a greeting to customers and words of appreciation to employees by President Komori, the presentation by Benny Landa and the demonstration of the IS29, and ended at 4:00 p.m. while still at its height, with all participants heading to Chicago by bus and car for Graph Expo the following day. Komori is grateful to all the guests and vendors who attended.
